I absolutely love these shorts! The material is fantastic. Thin, but not to thin, and super comfortable with a bit of stretch. I will be using these shorts for hiking and backpacking. The waistband on the inside is soft which will help with the hip-belt rub I get on my backpack sometimes.

They also look super cute on! Okay, as far as sizing, I am 5'3" and 128 lbs with 25" waist and 36" hips and a round booty - I ordered a medium and a small. I was swimming in the mediums. The smalls fit perfect - they are not tight at all. So they provide room to move during hiking or other activities.

 I am ordering another pair asap, as they are that good! On a side note, I also wear the Patagonia Trail Chaser shorts. I feel the Arcteryx Kapta fabric may be a little more durable. But I still love the Trail Chasers too!

This item runs big. I have been a size 8 for 99% of my Capri/pants/shorts. I ordered that size but it was large.

I then returned for a size 6. I wore and initially they fit me. Unfortunately, they expanded and the size 6 became too large. Nice style but start ordering a size or two down from what you normally wear.

They are unusually flattering for a hiking pant and I would just wear them as an everyday pant. Definitely recommend, by far the best pair of hiking pants I've ever worn.

Got two other pairs (Kuhl and North Face) in the same size and in-seam, but these are way short. 

 They are supposed to be 32 inches but measure about 30. Otherwise the fit is fine, and the style is pretty flattering. If they were really 32 inches I'd keep them.

Just what I was looking for. Light weight quick dry material that looks as if it won't wrinkle. Sits below waistline. Very comfortable. Size 8 was true to size.

Everything about this was perfect except the length. I have a little bit to hide in the saddlebag area but am otherwise very fit and love to show off my legs. This was just a tad too short and made me uncomfortable, showing off the transition point I like to hide. 

 My fault for not knowing what length skort is ideal but now I know. All my other skorts are one inch longer and perfect (and I have a bunch). Beautifully made and a nice cut. If your are comfortable with short skirts, definitely a great item.
